Cannot unlink old PSN Account

I have an issue wherethere are two PSN accounts linked to my EA account. One, I believe belongs to my ex-wife when we shared a PlayStation and I was the primary user of that PlayStation. She now has ownership of that PlayStation (at least I think she still does), but my account is not on that PlayStation anymore. I wiped my data off of it before she claimed possession of it (saying it was her PlayStation). I am the sole owner of the EA account and the email attached to it.

When I joined up with my friend to play Split Fiction, they were confused by seeing the name of the PSN account that belongs to my ex-wife (the friend I am playing with plays on PS5 and I am playing on PC).

I was in a chat support and they said that they have no method of delinking the PSN account, which I call absolute crap. As a developer, there is a way to unlink the account. You just need someone that has the access to do it as it seems these low level support people don't have the ability to perform a simple task.

I would like to know who I can contact to get this extra PSN account removed from my EA account as I do not have a button to delink the account.

Mayank Rai: i would like to inform you that as per the change in the process we are not allowed to delink any platform to our end as we do not have option to delink the platform from our end but you can try to delink the psn from your end with the help of below help article https://help.ea.com/help/account/unlink-gaming-accounts-from-ea-account/#how-to-unlink although the alternative is that you can delete the EA account so that all of your platforms will get free but i will suggest you for the same as it will hamper your account

I read through the following help article about how to unlink my PSN account: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/unlink-gaming-accounts-from-ea-account/#how-to-unlink. There is this particular mention:

Disabled or banned accounts

If your account has been disabled, banned, or suspended, you won’t be able to unlink your platform account from your EA Account.

If you need help with a disabled account, you can attempt to reset your password to re-enable your account and then continue with the unlinking steps above.

If you believe we made a mistake with a ban or suspension on your account that’s preventing you from unlinking, find out how to dispute it.

My account has not been disabled or banned, so I SHOULD have the option to unlink the account, but I do not.

EA support has been of no help whatsoever, and I need this PSN account removed from my EA account before it causes any more issues. I am not deleting my EA account as I have game progresses and account rewards claimed on my current account that I don't want to lose that is associated to playing Assassin's Creed, NFS games, and Star Wars games.

demonicpagan In regards to removing the PSN account, you don't need to be a dev to do. Live Support can remove it. They have a specific process for more than one of the same consoles linked to the EA account.

The downside on this is they have to do it. The forums has no ability to make account changes. CMs aren't supported; we cannot validate your account. The PSN ID being hers doesn't matter. What matters is the EA account is yours not hers. Unfortunatly, you have to speak with support so that they can remove it if you cannot on your EA profile.
