Issues with adding a payment method.
Hello,
I cannot add a payment method to purchase an EA Play Pro subscription. Every attempt to add a credit card returns this error:
“We were unable to verify your credit or debit card. Please check your payment details and try again. Alternatively, try another credit card or payment option, or check with your card issuer or bank.”
What I tried:
- Multiple valid credit cards (issued in Egypt where I currently reside)
- Confirmed with my bank the cards are active
- Used my cards on other gaming stores
- Cleared EA app cache
- Tried purchasing via multiple browsers and devices
- Tested with and without a VPN
- Contacted EA Live Support twice; no resolution
Given the above, this appears to be an EA-side issue. I have also seen reports from other users in Egypt with the same problem. Unfortunately, credit cards are the only available payment method currently available in Egypt so using a different payment method is not an option. This has been going on for three days and it’s really frustrating. I’ve tried everything I can, and I would appreciate if a senior in EA could provide help with this.
