Refund subscription

I have been trying to figure this out for three days. I’ve gone to the chat support and started a case at least three times, i wait for the chat support and my wait time continues to go UP instead of down. One of my cases was moved to resolved AND NO ONE EVER HELPED ME!!! I have numerous screenshots if needed to prove it. I was charged for a subscription i DO NOT WANT. I have been trying to get it refunded since the FIRST day it charged me. Somebody please help me before i lose my mind on EA.

    @blastindashton All refund requests can be submitted online through the refund request article. As for the chat, this has been reported to the team, but we have been testing it and if you follow the steps below it should provide you a chat. Sadly We here on the forums have no real control over this one.

    You can also set up an email case instead of chat and make the same request.

  • I appreciate your response, however i’m not even able to fill out a refund request. I went thru all my options everything i could find and it all leads me to this picture i provided. There’s also nowhere to request an email case. I was even sent an email from a chat that said i could reach them there if i needed, the link lead me back to the Ea help site. So i’m being sent in circles with no real help. Also, you mentioned steps “below” to provide me a chat..there’s no steps below. There’s nothing under “You can also set up an email case.” So i’m not sure what steps you’re talking about. 

  • In case it wasnt clear, im not trying to have a game refunded. Im trying to have my annual ea play membership refunded as no reminder that it was coming up was sent and i do not have the money to pay for it and my account is now negative.

    @blastindashton I understand you are trying to refund a subscription and not a game. Most subscriptions are not refundable but we understand things happen. When the site wont let you, you have to speak with chat support so that they can do look into it with you.

    The main thing is to not be logged into the help site. 

    Here are the steps we suggest. If they do not get you a chat, just change the options

    • Select the Games Support tab
    • Select EA App or EA account
    • Select See all help topics
    • Select one of the account issues like I cannot log in
    • You may get a pop-up that says login and get faster help
    • Select Continue without logging in
    • This should give you the chat/email option

    Feel your pain man. I couldn't get anything to download and reached out on a case. First advisor stated wait 24 hours and it should work. Opened up another case and I said since I can't get anything to work, i'd like a refund. They stated they would escalate for a refund, went silent and closed case on their side. Opened up another case and said I couldn't get a refund. Stated about the previous case and shows history of Ad***** stating that I would get a refund and still pending and no response. 

    Pretty horrible that 1) you pay for something and doesn't work. 2) get advised that a refund would be issued (was told in chat and have logs that it would be refunded). 3) After weeks of an open case, no action on EA's part.

    In the end, it seems like I was advised wrongly, but they take your money quick and when told I would receive something back, it is not given.
