Hey.Got a problem when AI are very slow on qualification. I've made P7 in Haas on 100 AI. Them during Race they are very fast and I end up on P12. It seems for me like that level AI during quali is 95 and during race 105.

Same for me, even in F2 where fuel is fixed and setup is competitive on the straights in both quali and race. In F1 this seems more pronounced due to the AI using ERS in the race but not qualifying.

I honestly don't think what type of qualifying session it is matters in my experience.I can definitely say the AI are too slow in a full and short session. I never do a one shot qualifying.For me the reason is pointing to the fact that as a player we now have the option to use the overtake deployment in all types of qualifying, which depending on the track can give the player a huge advantage over the AI as I believe this is something AI don't use? Or if they do then not to it's full potential?I personally much preferred it when the overtake deployment option was not available in qualifying and just used solely for practice and the race.I don't understand why the overtake deployment option was implemented into qualifying as we never had this before?As a general rule of thumb, I'm on average around half a second to one second a lap faster than the AI on most tracks on my difficulty setting.Then come the races they are the same speed as me. It makes the whole experience so completely unrealistic.Some may say the answer is not to use the overtake deployment then. To be honest I think that will be the outcome. But to be absolutely honest even using the hotlap deployment only, the AI still struggle to challenge still at times.I'm really happy this is being looked into. I just hope that if any adjustments are implemented going forward the balance is correct.

@EA_Vendcera For me it's Full Qualifying and 50% Race. But on other options I could see the same patern. Slow in Quali and to Fast in race

I’ve done like 10 races on career in a Williams and I’m averaging a qualifying position of 2nd in the 7th fastest car with like 5 poles already.In the race they are quicker because they have unrealistic acceleration out of corners but even then their max top speed is much slower than the player so they struggle to pass on a drs straight if I use hotlap mode

I believe the ai dont use overtake in qualy - if you do you making yourself too fast

@ScarDuck14 Improved awareness shouldn’t matter in quali when they have no cars around them. In the race they still have good pace just faulty coding

@SomaticCoast375 To be honest havnt put that much time in yet. But just did first race in career at Bahrain in a Williams on one shot and qualified 5th 😂. Then finished 3rd with a setup far from optimal and destroyed rears off two tyre stops.

And like at launch Ai cars got wing damage. Lewis this time last time was both Ferraris. and like last time didn’t stop for repairs even in their scheduled stops and finished in last place. Game is bugged broken and soul destroying

i don't use overtake against them in qualifying and it is still inconsistent. They are still a lot quicker in the race.

I’ve played a few races on f1 24 (My Team) and I’ve noticed that the AI are MUCH faster in the race than in quali. All races so far I have qualified in the 5-10 range, but in the race I have no chance, ending up in the bottom three positions within 5 laps of race start and unless some AI dnf, I WILL finish in last. Is anyone else experiencing this or am I just missing something?

at first glance AI looks faster in Q after patch 1.5: couple of tests 0.2-0.5 faster on high AI level... it may be rebalanced with R, can anyone confirm this or the difference was even bigger?
