Account compromised, no investigation or help

As I logged in this morning all of my tradeable assets and coins were gone. This happened specifically between 11pm last night and 9am this morning. They also spent 2000 fc points remaining from my ultimate edition.

I’ve been on chat 4 different times and nobody can help as the IP activity isn’t suspicious. It is a disgrace that this is the only check they do as this can easily be avoided by hackers. Surely the in game activity is suspicious enough?

they accused my family and friends. I live alone so nobody has accessed my hardware. I understand that it may look as though I’m pooling wool over their eyes but to not even investigate is disgraceful.

I also asked to raise a complaint multiple times and the agents refused and ended the chat. Is there anywhere else I can take this from here?

  • @TOONCRAIG  You can check your data log entries to see if someone had accessed your EA account. You would be able to see dates, times, location, IP address, etc.

Another option would be a DSAR (Data Subject Access Request). You need to ask them if they can do that or not.

Reply if you need any more help.

  • Thanks so much, I thought I may be able to get this information so requested a DSAR this morning so it’s reassuring to know that it will be provided. Hopefully they have processed my request as haven’t received anything to confirm they are sorting and weren’t very keen on sorting anything for me really. We’ll see.

@TOONCRAIG  Did you also check your EA account data log entries yet? I mentioned before that you can see things like dates, times, location, IP address, etc. It should help you determine if someone had accessed you account.

  • I can’t find what you’re suggesting unfortunately. There is a page with trusted devices however you can very easily untrust, this does not show me IP addresses or anything. Am I looking in the correct place or not?

@TOONCRAIG  When you log into your EA account on the Official EA help web page you should see the Manage my Account option. From there you click on account security and you should then be on the web page called Customer Portal where you can see your account information.

From there you will see the option Your EA data click on that and then you will see the option to Request a Download click on that and wait until it is done downloading. Make sure to not exit the web browser when it is downloading the data for you.

After you are done downloading the data you should be able to see your data entries.

Reply if you need any more help or advice.
