If you live far from a server yeah not much anyone can do. Next year ea is making it more arcade so you will have more delay even though they are removing delay in the animations.
I once checked where the nearest server is located from where I live, and actually i am surrounded by servers. I live in Belgium, nearest servers are in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and London. I have fiber connection, a 100hz tv and 3 game pads which all give the same delays while playing.
It helps to know that EA finally admits that something is wrong with their game, and they are trying to fix it. Whether they will succeed is another question...
