I would add to your claim, the wish to be able to change the players position in the field (like use a 4-4-2 with a CDM, CM, CAM and RM, for example). Also, would be lovely to be able to change the positions of a player in his development a little faster and be able, in the tactical formations, to use a CB as a Sweeper/Libero. The distinction between CF and ST could be very useful too, independent of the fact that I'm able to use the roles of a Target Forward, Advanced Forward, etc.
Be able to develop the playstyles in their training would be amazing!
I'm sure that the Career Mode has a lot of fans and that these changes would improve the experience a lot! I'm saying changes because some of the adjustments we're asking in this forum were present in other editions of Fifa/EAFC games.
Not everyone wants to play Ultimate Team. It might be too arcade for some users.
You can already change their position in the field. Making defenders out of midfielders shouldn't really be an option. There has to be some distinction. It's true that playstyles are WAY too static in career. I've heard that they can develop gold playstyles but have yet to see that happen.
