Based on what you shared, the account might be locked for your protection:
Understanding locks, bans, and suspensions
- Lock: we’ll temporarily remove access to a game or your EA Account when we notice too many failed login attempts or other suspicious activity. We do this to protect your account from being accessed by anyone other than you. Learn more about what you can do if you’ve been locked out of your account.
I won't know for sure though as we can’t handle bans or appeals through the EA Forums.
It sounds like you've already done the best thing by sending an appeal. An appeal goes directly through to our dedicated Terms of Service team for review. They will be in touch through email (noreply@ea.com) as soon as the investigation has wrapped up. The email will give you further details about the decision and how to dispute it if you think we’ve made a mistake. Please keep an eye out for your email inbox.
