Cannot connect to EA servers? Why

So for the last 3 hours I’ve tried to connect to the servers on and off and despite showing that the servers are running when I googled, they do not allow me in. This has happened multiple times before and can lead to days on end without being able to access. I just don’t understand why? If the servers are down for everyone as bad as it is I’d understand but why is it that some of the time it’s almost like you or a select few are down for no apparent reason. The company just doesn’t care in general and it’s terrible to see. A game I grew up playing has become unplayable in more than 1 way. Shocking
