Player Career Mode Feedback

Introduction
I am an avid Player Career Mode user who regularly plays as a Goalkeeper, as well as Attackers and Midfielders. Player Career Mode has immense potential, but outdated systems, unfair rating algorithms, and rigid progression mechanics heavily break immersion. Below is detailed feedback and constructive suggestions for future titles.

  1. Goalkeeper Match Rating & Flawed Substitution System
    - Passive Rating Drop: When playing as a Goalkeeper, match ratings constantly drain simply because the opponent is not attacking, even if the GK maintains proper positioning.
    - Unrealistic GK Substitutions: In real football, goalkeepers are rarely substituted mid-match unless injured or sent off. Because of the faulty rating drop, GKs get subbed off midway through the match for "inactivity." Mid-game GK substitutions due to match ratings should be completely removed.
    - Outfield Substitution Criteria: Outfield players are subbed in real life based on fatigue, tactical adjustments, or injury—not purely because of a short-term dip in match rating. The substitution logic needs a complete overhaul.
  2. Manager Trust & Training Attendance System
    - Training Routine Flaws: Dropping manager trust and benching a player solely for skipping weekly training drills makes no sense. World-class players maintain their starting spots based on match performance and pedigree, not mini-game completions.
    - Match performance, form over multiple fixtures, and overall reputation should dictate squad hierarchy rather than repetitive training requirements.
  3. Player Career Mode Transfer & Valuation Overhaul
    - Form-Based Transfers Over Rigid Objectives: Transfers should be driven by dynamic long-term form, season-by-season consistency, and actual match impact over 1-2 seasons rather than rigid checklist objectives.
    - Performance vs. Overall Rating (OVR): High-OVR players struggling for form should attract fewer offers, while lower-OVR players on a breakthrough run of form should receive major transfer interest.
    - Preventing Valuation Deadlocks for High OVR (95+ OVR Anticipated Issue): If this performance/stat-driven valuation is implemented, extremely high-OVR players (95+) could see their market price skyrocket beyond what any AI club can afford, causing zero bids. The valuation and transfer AI must be designed to accommodate realistic mega-transfers or market adjustments so top-tier superstars do not end up trapped at one club.
  4. Meaningful Attribute Scaling & Sprint Speed Balance
    - In offline AI matches, pace differences feel completely neglected. Even with 99 Pace against a defender with 70 Pace, defenders consistently catch up in a straight sprint.
    - Explosive pace should allow players to bypass defenders and enter the penalty box purely on speed without relying on a missed tackle animation from the AI.
  5. Referee Advantage System & Fouls
    - The referee calls advantage far too frequently during slide tackles, pulling, and harsh fouls. Immediate whistle stoppages followed by realistic added stoppage time would feel far more authentic.
  6. Goalkeeper Gameplay & Cutscene Sequence
    - AI Degradation: Teammate and opponent AI behavior degrades noticeably when playing as a GK compared to an outfield player.
    - Unrealistic Catch Rates: GKs with 90+ OVR catch point-blank full-power shots effortlessly instead of parrying or deflecting them. Catch mechanics need rebalancing.
    - Cutscene Sequencing: After making a save leading to a corner, the game frequently skips the save replay and jumps straight to mundane walking/manager cutscenes. Please show the actual save replay first, followed naturally by corner-kick preparations or manager reactions.
  7. Intelligent Milestone Simulation (Inspired by Modern Sports Titles)
    - Simulating via the calendar frequently results in unjustified demotions to the bench.
    - Introduce an Intelligent Milestone Simulation system (similar to MLB The Show): simulate routine fixtures automatically while pausing to prompt the user for critical matches (rivalries, milestone games, key cup ties). This enables playing through full multi-year careers without fatigue.
  8. AI Decision-Making, Dribbling, and Passing
    - Dribbling Logic: AI attackers frequently spam step-overs into stationary defenders or shoot directly into defenders at point-blank range.
    - Crossing Opportunities: AI wingers constantly cut inside to dribble into heavy traffic instead of whipping in crosses when wide open.
    - Passing Vision: Through balls lack creativity and are frequently passed straight to the defender's feet rather than leading runners in behind.
  9. Match Tempo Linked to Half Length
    - Introduce dynamic AI buildup and transition speeds that scale with the user's selected half length (e.g., higher tempo and quicker decision-making for shorter 3-minute halves).
  10. Drastic Reduction of In-Game Handballs & Engine Physics
    - Handball Frequency & Collision: Even when players attempt body-turning or blocking motions, balls hit trailing arms far too often, causing an excessive, unrealistic number of handballs during matches. The overall occurrence rate of handballs must be drastically tuned down.
    - Core Physics: Overhaul the weightless "skating" player movement and floaty crossing/long-pass ball physics.
  11. I truly love this game and believe that if these improvements are considered and implemented for FC 28, it would make Player Career Mode an absolute joy to play. Thank you for your time and for reading this feedback.
