Pro players were complaining how bad the game was in terms of op dribbling and useless defending so that argument is out the window and as for content creators, they mean nothing.
What actually means something to EA is the largest part of their playerbase, which is casuals and averagely skilled gamers.
This update keeps those playing and player retention is key to EA, from a purely business standpoint they've done completely the right thing.
