Congratulations EA

It was too easy to dribble and the game was going in a bad direction, really imagine how bad it would be with the dribbling with an end game team?? If it was that easy with gold players? Would you have enjoyed 99 Diego Maradona spinning through your whole defence at any given opportunity? Because I will tell you right now, that is what would have happened and as I mentioned earlier, most players would probably enjoy focussing on attacking instead of defending, so the boost to defending was very much welcome.

Because content creators and pro players spend thousands of dollars on the game to get ahead in the first place. If you listen to them, you'll lose all the other players. They're far from an objective target group to listen to. 

It's also not hard to figure out why they're updating like they do. EA never does something for the community. They overhauled the gameplay because it cost them money and now they're changing things because it costs them money. Everything about the game is based on squeezing money out of people. Just face it, this game will be somewhat decent for maybe a month a year and after that it's back to crap. EA is rotten to the core. Besides, they will do everything to keep DDA and scripting a public secret at best. That's the real reason why this game is so bad, no matter how many overhauls and updates they add. You can't create a great gameplay if you have a tool in there that's manipulating it.

We have always asked for an attacking football. To have fun in it. No one enjoys to a defense based football. No one wants to hold DM and sit back at their box. No one wants to make 100 passes just to enter in the box. And specially if the defense is done by AI. If you have enjoyed defending then you shouldn't have any problem with manual defending. I don't get it why you guys praising so much about AI defending being brought back? This is the single thing that makes the game more not enjoyable. 

I'm enjoying the gameplay now, as are the majority, active player numbers are up since the patch.

There you go again Legend , with the "we" and "no one" , again youre not the spokesman for everyone so by "we" you mean you and by "no one" you mean you , many people enjoy to actually pass the ball and make passing plays like real life not the arcade dancing on ice garbage you seem to prefer, maybe the game isnt perfect but it's slightly better than the utter trash it was before 

I love the new patch, still getting some 8-7 scores, but it feels much more like a football game now.

What on God’s Earth is stopping you from having fun? I call BS. 

You are contradicting yourself now, just go play and get better, seriously now.

The game was stupid before the latest patch. No one could defend properly. Touching center backs was deadly because one false move you were getting turned dizzy by constant spinning in the box which led to goals. No one was scoring creative goals. 10-9 scorelines would suggest NO ONE had control of defence and no one wanted to control the defence because it would always lead to goal against you.

Now you can gain some control of your defence and even switch to a defender and have some control over jockeying. Before the patch jockeying was too jerkey and barely worked.

In football you should be able to defend in games and seal a game out. Before the patch it was just a case of who could out spin their opponent in the box and score more goals while no one had proper control of the match.

Now you can score all types of goals because you have to try and break teams down if someone knows how to defend. And if they don't know how you can still beat them comfortably. 

The game is better balanced win, lose or draw. And there will always be some frustrating games where you should have won but drew or lost. That is football.

The patch has improved the game. And yeah, I noticed Season player count numbers were up to the maximum I have seen. So people are clearly preferring the gameplay more since the update.

There is room for more improvement but 1.1.0 was desperately needed. People needed some control of the game and especially defence.
