Geographical Discrimination in FC26 Beta: Elite Players Excluded Despite Merit
Hello community and EA team,
I am writing to express my strong disappointment with the criteria for access to the FC26 closed beta, which seems to favor only players from the United States and the United Kingdom, unfairly excluding the rest of Europe, South America, etc., as well as competitive players like me (Italy), who reached the Top 200 of the Elite Division in FC25. Despite the commitment shown, exclusion based on residence is unacceptable and undermines confidence in EA's fairness.
Players with excellent results (e.g., Top 200 Elite) do not receive priority access, while the beta is open to random users in "privileged" countries.
Concrete requests to the EA team
Publicly explain why the beta is limited to the US/UK, violating the inclusive spirit stated in the Positive Play Charter.
Create exceptions for competitive European players, verifying their merits through the official FC25 rankings.
Extend the beta to at least all EU countries, aligning with the policies of other titles (e.g., previous FIFA games).
Impact on the community
This geographical disparity:
- Disadvantages game balance, as critical feedback from excluded regions is missing from testing.
- Damages EA's reputation, perceived as elitist and uninterested in "minor" markets.
-Rewards randomness, not merit: selected users in the US/UK may not be as active testers as Elite players.
To the EA team: If the beta is a tool to improve FC26, why ignore those who have demonstrated competence and dedication? We deserve answers, not silence.
