Modifying core defensive mechanics this late in the cycle ruins muscle memory.

Is anyone else struggling with the massive change to player inertia and tracking after the recent updates? It feels like defenders are moving on ice skates now.

For the past year, consistent manual tackling and solid positioning were rewarded. Now, the sudden adjustments to player weight and reduced AI magnetism mean that even well timed inputs result in a defender completely overcommitting or sliding past the ball carrier.

Making such drastic adjustments to core gameplay physics at this stage of the cycle completely invalidates a year of built up muscle memory. Defending feels less about skill and timing now, and more about dealing with unpredictable player momentum. Is anyone finding a reliable way to counter this new weight on defense?

I might just quit the game until next year's version comes out in a couple of months. What is the point of re-learning everything at this stage after a whole year of playing the old style, especially when we will just have to do it all over again when the next game drops so soon?

I was dominate on defense I don’t like how people can get past me now lol

Same here, before patch I was in div 1, now in div 4. Advanced and contain doesn't work, no matter how much you press X/A your players just stand there. When the opponent shoots, your defenders either dodge or jump in the opposite direction. They had fixed that but somehow reversed it
