Well said.
"There is a long, very long list of things wrong with the game, but the physical tackles has completely ruined the last fun there was..."
Many players have pointed out the same thing: proper football defending barely exists in this game — it feels like only rugby tackles are rewarded.
At this point, instead of playing the game, I find myself spending more time writing on these forums — which honestly says everything.
The gameplay no longer feels like football. It feels like a strange experiment where AI controls most of the match and the player is just there to witness it (And in the last 53 days my AI went on holiday or retired completely, either way it's gone!). Tackling is inconsistent, passing ignores logic and placement, pace means very little, and physical contact seems to matter more than timing or positioning.
The game often feels less like football and more like hockey with better grass textures. I respect both sports, but football is supposed to be about space, timing, and decision-making — not constant shoulder barges and AI-controlled chaos.
The most frustrating part is that many of us are saying the exact same thing, every single day. Same complaints, same broken mechanics, same lack of acknowledgement.
There is no way someone is testing this and genuinely thinking: “Yes, this is the football experience players were asking for.”
And if they are, I would strongly recommend watching a few old matches of Maldini or Ramos sliding tackles, just as a gentle reminder of how defending is supposed to work.
People are not asking for easy wins. We are asking for a football game that feels like football.
Right now, playing FUT feels less enjoyable than doing taxes!
