Any fix for severe FPS drops (4–5)?
I’m wondering if anyone has found a real solution for the severe FPS drop issue (down to 4–5 FPS).
Here are my system specs and everything I’ve tested so far:
Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3
CPU: Intel Core i5-11300H
GPU: GTX 1650 4GB
Things I’ve already tried:
- Fully updated all drivers
- DDU in Safe Mode and installing stable GPU driver versions
- Tweaking NVIDIA Control Panel
- Tried settings on Performance, Ultra, FPS cap, etc.
- Toggling HUD On/Off
- Testing Steam launch options:-RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0 -RenderDevice.VSyncEnable 0 -WorldRender.MotionBlurEnable 0 -Thread.MaxProcessorCount 0 -ForceHighPerformanceGPU -dxd11
- All settings on Low
- Lowering resolution and render scale (this only helps for a few matches)
- Setting fcsetup.ini and .lua config files to read-only
- Setting Windows power plan to Ultimate Performance
- Setting Lenovo Vantage to Performance mode
- Using RTSS for FPS cap
- Trying Special K overlay (couldn’t get it to work)
- Reinstalling the game
- Running the game from Steam, from the .exe directly, and from EA App
- Changing Shader Cache size to 10GB, 5GB, Ultimate
- Testing Borderless and Fullscreen
- Disabling Fullscreen Optimizations
- Reinstalling Anti-Cheat
- Deleting Shader Cache, Driver Profile, etc.
I think we’ve already tested almost every possible workaround, but if there’s anything else that should be checked, feel free to add it.
