Once I start a game, after choosing kits and accepting matchmaking the whole game crashes and my screen is turning black, I'm unable to do anything, so I have to Alt+f4 the game an eventually lose. What is worth mentioning is a fact it happens since the update has been launched.
Updating GPU drivers solved the issue.
I have the same problem after the update 2-3 days ago. Whether in tournament or Kick Off I select teams and kit and click to start match and all I get is green FC logo looping at bottom of black screen. Have repaired C++ distributable software, repaired FC26, uninstalled Anti-cheat and repaired FC26 and checked graphics driver. FC25 still works fine. So whatever the update was it broke it.

If this is happening right as the match is trying to load, especially after the update, there are a few things to try and help get this cleared up.
If you haven't already, I'd definitely start with a repair on EA app, or Verifying Game Files on Steam. That will help make sure there weren't any corrupted game files during that update and everything patched correctly.
On a similar note, please be sure you've checked for the latest Windows + GPU updates. Especially with the screen just turning black and crashing, I'd check you're using the latest GPU drivers in particular. If you've already updated to the latest, it may help to use something like DDU for a clean install.
You can also try resetting your local config files by checking your Documents folder (not AppData) for EA SPORTS FC 26 and deleting the contents. That will reset your in-game settings to help avoid any potential issues. If you're using any overlays like Discord or Game Bar, I'd temporarily disable those as well.

I have the same issue. None of these fixes have worked. My Windows is fully updated and drivers are full updated. Installed drivers. Reinstalled the game. Cleared caches etc
Except ddu all other steps are done to no avail.please check your game before releasing patches. I spent real money and time in this, EA should do the same so we can enjoy the game.
Ok, finally got the solution. Somehow, the squad battles overview prior to match is stuck in another squad. This affects rivals and champions mode as well and passes you an instand disconnect if you quit without even seeing the match. The solution is to go to moments and start a dummy game from any moments. Once the squads reset with that overview, you can go back and play this game. This is found after resetting every possible setting nothing worked including DDU, reinstalling GPU driver, CPU dirver, ea anticheat, reset profile, reset squads, reset gpu settings, etc.... EA get your things together and do not let MIT Ph.D. to figure out a solution every time.
