Controller issue after latest update

After the latest update, I've encountered a problem with my controller. The controller isn't registering my input. The selected player continues to move as I did last, but commands like passing, shooting, and so on, are ineffective. This problem lasts for 3-4 seconds. Afterward, it returns to normal, but it happens 8-9 times per match.
