Controller stuff

Once in a while my controller starts tweaking. I can't do antyhing and my player just go upwards forever until its 5:0 and its only solution is alt+f4. I use xbox type controller and its working perfectly for the most part. Out of nowhere i cant even control my player. Its really frustrating considering im trying to win a tournament with limited attempts. Anyone came across similar issue?
