EA FC 26 - AntiCheat Packer Crash on MSI Laptop

Hi all,

I am encountering an issue with EA FC 26 where the game crashes during launch due to an EA AntiCheat Packer crash. Despite following all recommended troubleshooting steps (reinstalling EA AntiCheat, clearing cache, verifying game files, and more), the issue persists.

Here are the key details:Game version: EA FC 26

Error: AntiCheat crash at Packer stage

System: MSI laptop with RTX 4080 and Intel 13th Gen i9

Operating System: Windows 11

Error Type: Crash Report Handler with a generated dmp file

I have tried:

Restarting and reinstalling EA AntiCheat

Clearing cache and verifying game files

Running in clean boot mode

Ensuring Memory Integrity is off and Hyper-V is disabled

Closing potential conflicting background software (Nahimic, MSI apps)

The problem seems to be persistent and might be related to MSI-specific hardware/software, as I have seen similar reports from other users. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a solution, or can EA provide further assistance?

    Hi there. Thanks for including the DxDiag. Here are some suggestions that may help with this issue.

    • You're on a non-mainstream Windows build. Switch to a more stable version of Windows and make sure it's updated
    • Your Nvidia driver is very new. Try rolling back to a previous one
    • Disable overlays for the EA App, Discord, GeForce Experience/ShadowPlay, Steam, MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner, Overworld, Reshade and any capture/OSD tools

    Thanks for the suggestions and for taking the time to check my DxDiag.

    I’ve already tried rolling back my NVIDIA driver (I rolled it back to the oldest version available on the official website for my laptop), and I also disabled overlays and some background tools as suggested. Unfortunately, the issue is still happening so far.

    Regarding Windows, this system came preinstalled with my laptop and has only been updated through normal Windows Update. I haven’t joined the Windows Insider Program.

    I haven’t reinstalled Windows yet, but I might try that later if nothing else works.

    Anyway, thanks for the help, bro — I really appreciate it.

    Thanks for trying those. Check the Memory Integrity. Go to Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation > Memory Integrity. Let me know if this is on or off.

    Also, do a clean remove of the EA AntiCheat with these steps:

    1. Uninstall FC 26
    2. Go to C:\Program Files\EA\AC\ and run EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe
    3. Select FC26 > Uninstall
    4. Delete C:\ProgramData\eaanticheat\ and reboot
    5. Reinstall FC 26
