EA FC 26 Not launching through Steam

So, I've bought the last 3 EA FC games. All launched normally. I have a bunch of other EA games like Mass Effect LE and Andromeda, Battlefield, Titanfall, Dragon Age etc, all launch normally.

I got the EA play subscription to test the game with the 10 hour free trial (I did the same last year and it launched normally). I played EA FC 25 on the same machine the day before. I installed the game but when I launch it, the steam "Play" button goes blue, then the EA App "preparing game" pops up, the Javelin/EA FC window comes up and loads, then the EA App main page pops up and the button on Steam goes back green "play" and nothing happens.

So far I've:

- verified the game files multiple times
- reinstalled the game
- launched the game/steam/EA App/Anti cheat in admin mode
- repaired/uninstalled/reinstalled Javelin
- reinstalled EA App
- disabled EA app, Steam and Gamebar overlays
- manually installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributible
- deleted steam and EA app cache
- updated windows and AMD drivers
- added -dx12 to launch options on steam
- checked "Disable full screen optimizations" in properties

I maybe missed some things I tried since I've spent an unhealthy amount of time on this. The trial version has already taken away 2 hours off the 10 hour free trial (despite steam only counting 30 minutes of "playtime" a.k.a trying to launch the game).
