EA FC26 doesn't start trough Steam

I got the Ultimate Edition on Steam. I can click the play button, but the game doesn't successfully start.

When I click the play button, it goes through the motions just like EA FC25 on Steam, but after a while it comes back with an error (see attached screenshot), and sometimes no error, but I can click play again.

My PC specs are as follows.

Windows 11, up to date.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT

RAM: 32GB Drive: m.2 SSD for my main drive where the game is installed.

Things I tried.

Restarted Steam, restarted PC, updated GPU drivers and restarted PC, manually installed EA Javelin, validated Steam files and found 3 bad files, ran Steam in admin mode, restarted PC again.

I am able to play the game through the normal EA Play app with my EA Play Pro subscription. I did this to get the early early access to the game; now I just want to pay with the edition I bought on Steam.
