FC 26 Fails to Launch on PC – Black Screen after Anti-Cheat Splash Screen

Hello, I am seeking assistance regarding a persistent launching issue with FC 26 on PC. About 4-5 days ago, I took a brief break from the game. Upon attempting to restart it, the game would no longer function correctly. Specifically, when I launch the game, the EA Anti-Cheat screen appears as usual, followed by a black screen for several seconds. However, the game then abruptly closes and returns me to the EA App without any specific error message or code. I have strictly followed every step provided in the official Technical Guide and additional troubleshooting methods, including: Multiple reinstalls of both the game and the EA App. Repairing and reinstalling the EA Anti-Cheat software. Performing a clean boot and updating all system drivers. Clearing the EA App cache and running the game with administrator privileges. Adjusting BIOS settings (UEFI and Secure Boot configurations). Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved. It is quite disappointing that I am unable to access the game during such an important period as TOTY (Team of the Year), despite having paid the full price for the product. I believe all customers deserve consistent and reliable service. Could you please provide a technical solution to address this problem?

    Yes, I finally got some real progress! I reached out to a dedicated advisor today and confirmed that the technical team officially started an 'Account Rebuild' for me on March 9th. They found an 'Account-scoped corruption' in my cloud metadata that was causing the data mismatch."

     

    "They are currently in the final staging/verification phase. I was instructed to wait 24 hours for the new data to sync across the servers and then perform a fresh cloud sync by clearing my local settings. I’ll be testing the game tomorrow night (KST). If you’re still stuck, I highly recommend pushing them to check your internal logs for any 'Data Mismatch' on the server side!

    I suspect the Black Screen issue is likely an account-side defect. Here’s why: Persistent despite local fixes: I've tried every possible troubleshooting step on my PC (Clean boot, driver updates, etc.), but nothing worked. This leads me to speculate that it’s not a hardware problem. Official categorization: According to my recent contact with EA Support, they mentioned my case (#236127342) is being investigated as a 'potential defect'. This suggests the root cause might be a synchronization error or a bug tied to our EA profiles on their servers. Possible fix in progress: The advisor mentioned they are looking into it in 'real-time,' so there’s a high chance that a resolution is being worked on right now. It's not 100% certain yet, but if you're stuck on a black screen, it might be worth waiting for an EA-side fix rather than stressing over your own PC settings.

  • Hello, try putting your PC offline then uninstall and reinstall EA Javelin anti cheat then connect to the internet again and check if it works, if it doesn't work you can try clearing the cache of the EA app, if it still doesn't work you can first make a backup of the EA SPORT 26 folder (located in C:\Users\your user\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26) then delete the original folder so as to force the game to recreate clean data from the last update.

    Bro I have this problem for 3 months and no one can fix it. After splash screen the game just turn off and it send me back to ea app window.

    I just had a detailed chat with EA support. They've officially confirmed this as an 'active investigation' under Case #236127342. The advisor assured me that their technical team is fixing it in 'real-time' right now.
