On initial set up, I get as far as selecting my favourite club (keeping the settings the same) and then it just freezes on the multi coloured bluish screen. Does not move on or load anything else. I have restarted, turned ps off/on etc. reinstalled the game. Same issue each time I try start the game.

I've installed it through PS Store this morning and it gets stuck on an infinite screen after accepting UA and selecting language and team. I've tried rebooting, reinstalling, restoring licenses, updating the console, unplugging power cord, setting system language to English to avoid issues with chunks... I'm on 1.04 (the latest the system found).
On some other feed, they said that when they went to notifications game was still downloading and it wasnt fully downloaded, maybe check there if game is fully downloaded i think it have aprrox. 65GB
That's true, bro. Same thing happened to me but after going to notifications, it showd it was still downloading.
Probably that is reason, was strange to me that game is already ready to enter after 2 or 3 hour of downloading xd
