Yea, apparently there's a serious bug with their settings or some flaws in the coding, so that is a problem on their end unfortunately. This is why I'm kinda forced to keep it at low graphics settings & pray the game runs well.
I've been tinkering too much to know that the game should be priortising GPU usage, followed by CPU usage (like 100%GPU, 80-90%CPU or less). Instead, the game causes a CPU bottleneck, which is much more apparent after update 1.0.2, which is incredibly frustrating. My CPU is also pretty clean as I've applied fresh thermalpaste a month back & cleaned up the fan too. My i7-4770 has been able to run all the previous editions of FIFA/EAFC so I doubt it's even my CPU being the issue.
I realised that even though EA stated that they fixed instability issues in Borderless settings for PC, it actually is still quite problematic. So for now, I've sticked to Fullscreen, which has kinda worked better for me. I overrided a lot of the settings through NVIDIA's Control Padel, so the only changes I've made in game would be V-Sync off, 60fps framerate cap & low graphics settings. It still doesn't how explain how the FPS drops to 10fps when I enter a Kick Off game for benchmarking purposes.
Honestly, to be safe, just use the NVIDIA Control Panel to tweak the 3D application settings for EAFC. In-game, only use the low graphics settings. Seeing how unstable things are, I think we can agree we just want the game to be stable & consistent by priortising performance over quality. This would minimise strain on EAFC 26, knowing how poorly optimised it is.
Yes, the influx of conundrums is giving me quite a headache, where I have to spend more time trying to fix problems instead of playing the game. It has come to a point where if the game was relatively stable for 1-2 hours, I would grind out the next few hours to complete all possible objectives as long the game works, which is quite sad.
I've been monitoring my CPU usage. Its in the high 80's during game, spiking to 100 when having the slightly laggy gameplay I'm describing. Which leads me to believe it's something to do with a background process like the anti cheat somehow hogging resources.
