Recently over the last couple of weeks my ps5 shuts down when i go into a match.
It only seems to do this on fc 26. Ive deleted and reinstalled the game
Cleared cache and rebuilt database
Opened up the ps5 and cleaned the fan.
Is there an issue with the most recent patch, do i need to take my ps5 to be fixed, or is this a known issue on fc 26 recently?
Community ManagerI personally had this issue in the past and got a can of compressed air (held vertically so no liquid comes out) and blasted the dust/lint away from the fan and as far into the heatsinks as I could. If you are not comfortable with this, you could look into getting the console professionally cleaned.

I am having the same issue since last week until now only while playing fc26. Playing other games for hours my ps5 works just fine and not overheating.
It's annoying and i am worried it could damage my ps5.
Community ManagerIf your console is overheating while playing FC 26, it will protect itself by shutting down. You can know it is definitely overheating if you have to unplug the power cable and reconnect it before restarting the PS5. Cleaning the console is usually the remedy, but professional cleaning or even PlayStation warranty consultation may be required.

It's happening to me again now. Yesterday was okay but you got problems with pro clubs mode.
Today i played fc26 on my ps5 for only 2 hours and it shut down twice. I played other games for hours and it never overheated and never shut down by itself.
My ps5 shuts down only when i play fc26..listen or read carefully Barry..it shuts only when i play fc26 for god sake
Community ManagerDifferent games place varying levels and types of demand on the console. Just because this is the only game that is overheating your console does not necessarily mean the game is at fault. If that was the case, every PS5 would be shutting down and we would have a much bigger issue on our hands. I recommend professional cleaning, which will return your console to a factory-fresh state, and if there is no other hardware issue at play, you should be good to go for some time. Thank you.
