Game still not launching - 100 days after purchase!!!1!!
I am basically pasting my post from September, since I have not heard a thing from EA
We have, throughout Autumn and Winter, spent close to 100 hours trying all kinds of tweaks to run FC26. This technical support has been abominable, and words can not explain our feeling of despair regarding EA and this game.
Please reply and help us out of our despair:
I bought the Ultimate Edition of the game as a birthday present for my 13 year old son before the September 19th launch, and he still has not played a single minute!
We have tried everything in our imagination to launch the game by updating all possible drivers, running as an administrator, tried running on older DirectX-versions through Steam, closing all background tabs and so on and so forth.
There are two different outcomes when launching the game. The first one is a return to the EA launcher with the message displayed "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later". We must have tried later at least 50 times..
The second outcome is the PC blacks out, sometimes with no message, other times a scrambled, quite unreadable message saying something about DirectX. This leads to a restart of the PC.
Hopefully this will be fixed very soon, or we will have to refund the purchase and deteriorate our trust in EA as a company.

When and where it is crashing: After the screen saying "Compiling shader. Please wait until the process is done (loosely translated from Norwegian).
