EA must have fixed something, today is back to 8ms ping, a lot more responsive. It would be nice if EA admit what was wrong and what they have done to fix it.

I know you say you changed your DNS, I don't know what server is hosted by 1.1.1.1, but if your router settings were also set to 8.8.8.8, then I suspect the DNS cache may not have been flushed.

Hey guys, I think I found a solution. This worked for me. I have been dealing with the same issue for about 4 weeks, my ping jumped from 8ms to 30-40ms, and was stuck at 30-40ms

I am playing on PS5 for context. I have always used Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), but tonight I switched to OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220) and I'm back to 8ms ping.

You can do this on your console/computer, or modify your router settings. It seems that you don't need to keep the changes either, simply switching DNS seems to flush the cache of IP addresses. If you're playing on pc, you may need to use flushdns from your computer terminal.

I think the root cause of this is caused by IP address rotation, which is completely normal, and having the DNS record cached. This means that your console/computer thought it knew the path to take to the Dallas servers, but that path changed, so you were taking a longer path, thus a greater ping.

In short, I updated DNS from Google (30-40ms) -> OpenDNS (8ms) -> Google (still 8ms). Give it a go, hope it works for you too.

I think they fixed something cause starting today my ping went back to normal

yes same here been like 3 weeks now

EA_Darko​ i have also had ATT come to my house.. verified I am getting 1k download 1k upload FIBER with zero issues… I am in Oklahoma which also makes sense with the people of Texas… same server… I am continually getting 30-50 ping no matter what time of day when for the past 6 months, I have only gotten 12… please stop ignoring this, we are paying customers and we are telling you something has changed while you continue to ignore us and tell us it’s not on EAs side.. clearly it is 

EA technical team should definitely check this post to fix dallas server issue
