This is the most prevalent problem and bug inside FC26, and it is not a End User issue. This is a server issue. This is on EA's side only. This is destroying player enjoyment, and is actually legally rendering the product unusable with a controller, and considering some of us pay monthly, its a major problem.
During games and matches, there is a major bug issue with controller responses during rival matches, champions, and any match that has a full squad. LET ME BE CLEAR; THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ON RUSH. This is not an end user issue where they need to tweak their settings or adjust their graphics or cap their FPS.
I know this is a server problem. I am a techie. I code. I KNOW the difference between controller manipulation and end user jitter. I also can code products for the DualSense and Xbox One Controllers in Unreal, and i know its a server issue, BECAUSE; RUSH IS FINE. MAGICALLY, THERE IS NO INPUT LAG FROM EITHER THE CONTROLLER, (WHETHER USB OR BT) OR THE SERVER RESPONSE TO THE IN GAME PLAY.
But in Rivals, Champs, and Live Events When the controllers are displayed on the screen, we can see that, in most matches, there is for example, an advertised ping of say 15/22/28ms ping for a game. (this should also apply to the controller input to -> server and return <- from server to gameplay.
THIS IS NOT HAPPENING - What is happening is controller inputs from the end user machines, are FINE they register correctly on the game input device on the in game controllers on screen (diagnostic), however, the second controller, (EA Server Side) [the one that actually controls input of the players] is delayed and in some cases upto 3 or 4 seconds. also buttons appear to be STICKING and showing as continually pressed, (even though no input is pressed on the end user) this is causing players not to be controlled correctly; and where input delay matters, this is causing somegames to not even be worth playing.
We know this is a server issue;
It could ONLY be either of the following.
- be a capacity issue with servers not being powerful enough to actually handle the user base.
- be a interference issue with the momentum system interfering with the controller sync from user > server > game < server < user pathways.
- be intentionally deployed to nerf genuinely good players.
- controller manipulation deployed mid-game in order to artificially modify game outcomes. (server match rigging).
there is also a need for a controller input time (m/s) text display needed under the controllers; and a way for us players to report controller input lags ingame, so EA can collect the required stats on actually HOW MANY matches are affected by this issue, and from scouring reports myself, this is a GLOBAL issue and considering my legal experience, this could also stretch into a consumer rights issue, especially here in the UK since these issues, actually render the product we purchase, broken upon release, and not be fit for purpose, which no matter of Terms and Conditions of licencing will prevent litigation from consumers due to the specific nature of the broken state of the product which is a.) reproducible, b.) reoccurring c.) not isolated to a single incident.
Simple matter is this. a 22ms rated game, should NOT be legally experiencing a 150ms+ delay in passing, moving, jockeying, or shooting in Rivals, Champs or Live Events ESPECIALLY when these "ISSUES" do not occur in RUSH.
