Having the same problem. Since this latest patch the game is literally unplayable online due to these input issues, controller input stops working for 1-2 seconds at least 20 times per game. Not sure what the heck was done in this last patch because it was working fine before it for me but since the patch it's literally every game this happens.
EDIT: Might also add that this happens while in the menus as well. I'm on PC and have the game on the EA app. Ridiculous patch.
