Manager Career Team won't save

Pls help every time I start a match it has that window to pick ur team sometimes when the match starts it doesn't use the players I selected meaning I have to waste substitutions on players I already chose to not play yet 

Im on xbox pls tell me how ro fix or what will help thank you
