PC - Severe FPS drops/stutter in Pro Clubs, even solo in lobby
Platform: PC
Issue:
Severe stuttering (feels like slideshow, ~5-10 fps) occurs specifically in Pro Clubs mode — in the club menu and during goal celebrations/cutscenes. This does NOT happen in Ultimate Team, Career Mode, or Kick-Off — only in Pro Clubs.
Important detail: this happens even when I'm alone in the lobby (no other players), so it's not related to player count or netcode syncing other users have reported.
Troubleshooting already done, none of it fixed the issue:
- Disabled Main Menu Video (Accessibility settings)
- Lowered Cloth Quality, Fan Quality, Background Occlusion Quality (Graphics settings) to Medium
- Capped FPS via GPU control panel instead of in-game
- Disabled Fullscreen Optimizations
- Verified/repaired game files via EA App
- Confirmed no recent Windows or GPU driver updates around the time this started
- Confirmed it's isolated to FC 26 — no other games affected
Started happening about 1-2 weeks ago with no changes on my end (no driver updates, no Windows updates, no hardware changes).
Regular match gameplay runs perfectly smooth — it's specifically the Clubs menu and any cutscene/celebration within Clubs mode that tanks to slideshow framerate.
Would appreciate if anyone from EA could look into what's different about Clubs mode's cutscene/menu rendering pipeline compared to other modes, since it seems isolated to that specific mode.
