[PC][Steam] FC 26 randomly closes during every online match
Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue that makes FC 26 unplayable on PC. The game launches normally, I can navigate all menus, and offline gameplay appears to work. However, every online game mode eventually closes directly to the desktop with no error message.
Platform: PC (Steam version)
Game launched through the EA App
Operating System: Windows 11 Version 25H2 (Build 26200.8655)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
The game does not crash immediately. Instead, it randomly closes to the desktop during every online match.
Examples:
- Sometimes after about 5 in-game minutes (about one minute)
- Sometimes after about 40 in-game minutes (about 5 minutes prior to half-time)
- The timing is inconsistent, but I have never been able to complete an online match, let alone a full half.
When it happens:
- FC26.exe simply disappears.
- No error message appears.
- No crash dialog appears.
- Windows Event Viewer does not show an Application Error for FC26.exe.
- Windows Error Reporting does not generate a crash dump.
Offline gameplay appears to work normally. The issue only occurs during online gameplay.
Troubleshooting already completed:
- Verified game files through Steam.
- Reinstalled EA AntiCheat / EA Javelin.
- Disabled NVIDIA Overlay.
- Disabled Steam Overlay.
- Closed Razer software and other background applications.
- Checked Event Viewer for crash logs.
- Enabled Windows Error Reporting crash dumps (none were created).
- Attempted to capture a dump using Microsoft's ProcDump, but it could not attach because FC26 is protected by EA AntiCheat.
- Confirmed my PC easily exceeds the game's system requirements.
I never experienced this issue with previous FIFA / EA SPORTS FC titles on this same PC.
I've also spent a significant amount of time trying to locate EA Javelin or anti-cheat logs but have been unable to find any logs that explain why the game is closing. Since there are no Windows crash logs or dump files, it appears the game may be exiting silently rather than crashing normally.
If there are any EA Javelin diagnostic logs, additional debugging steps, or beta fixes that I can help test, I'd be happy to provide any additional information needed.
