Sudden Ping Spike & Routing Issues: Being Suddenly Forced into SE Server
Hi EA Support Team / Community Manager,
I am writing to report a sudden and frustrating change in my connection quality in EA Sports FC 26 on PS4.
For a long time, I was consistently connected to the Middle East servers (Dubai/Jeddah), providing a smooth gameplay experience with low latency (46-50 ms), I attached a screenshot below showing last games report from ea.
However, recently, the game has started routing me to European servers without any changes to my internet setup or physical location.
This has caused my Ping to jump from its usual stable range to an unplayable level, making it impossible to compete in online modes like Champions or Rivals, which pushes me to not play or even opening the game.
- Platform: PS4
- Region: Middle East (Egypt)
- Current Issue: High Ping due to incorrect routing to EU servers instead of local ME servers.
- Troubleshooting Done: I have restarted my router, used optimized DNS settings, and verified my ISP connection. Everything is stable on my end, which confirms this is a routing/server-side issue from EA.
I’ve noticed other players in the community reporting the exact same issue. Could you please investigate the routing for the Middle East region and help us get back to our local servers?
