Unable to move players in online game modes

In every single online game I played, I was not able to have full control of my players at all times. Some games I have 0 control of my players the entire match, while some matches I get to have about 5-10 seconds of control. It is important to note that I have an unstable connection (ping varies from 40-140), however this issue did not happen in FC25, where I was able to still have a functioning game, while I would have delay which is understandable because of my high ping at times.

So about 99% of the time I am not able to control my players with my right or left stick, bumpers or triggers do not register. I can pass with a huge delay which goes in the direction the player is facing, left stick having no impact. it is as if the controller disconnected mid-game, while having the ability to charge up passes with delay of 3-4 seconds.

I have tried restarting the game, changing controllers from Xbox to PS4 controller. This is on PC on EA platform. Offline gamemodes work fine.
