Xbox controller works offline, broken online (weeks with no fix)

I paid full price for the Ultimate Edition of FC-26 and for EA Play but I cannot play online properly.

Offline modes like Kick Off and Squad Battles work fine with my Xbox Series S controller, but in online modes like Rivals and FUT matches the controller either stops responding or players move and pass on their own.

I have already tried locking FPS and enabling V-Sync, disabling overlays, launching through both EA App and Steam, using wired connections and different USB ports, toggling Steam Input on and off, reinstalling the game and deleting config folders, and updating drivers, firmware, and Windows.

Nothing has fixed it.

The controller is perfect offline but always breaks online. It has been weeks since launch and there is still no patch or acknowledgement.

I feel ripped off for paying over £100 for the Ultimate Edition and EA Play when the main mode of the game is unplayable.

Can EA please confirm when this issue will be fixed?
