Are legitimate traders being incorrectly flagged for coin distribution?

I have played EA football games since FIFA 98 and understand Ultimate Team very well. Trading has always been one of the parts I enjoy most.

What is happening in FC 26 is beyond frustrating. For the first time in nearly 30 years, I do not intend to buy the next game.

I’m part of a large FC community, and I made an informal count based on conversations within that group. These are self-reported figures, not an official or scientific survey.

  • Around 200 people play FC.
  • Around 80 trade regularly.
  • Around 40 of those traders say they received a warning, coin wipe or Transfer Market ban despite denying any coin buying, selling or distribution.
  • Around 20 people admitted buying or selling coins. None of them reported receiving a warning or Transfer Market ban.

That means roughly half of the regular traders in this group reported a penalty, while none of those who admitted using coin-selling services reported one.

My own experience makes the pattern even more concerning. One of my accounts was restricted after legitimate trading, despite no coin distribution. A second account was banned after only four days. On that account, I manually traded FUTTIES players such as Bellerín, Touré, Kolo Muani, Kelly and Götze through the console for small margins. The Web and Companion Transfer Market was not even unlocked.

One possibility is that cards frequently used by legitimate traders are also involved in illicit transactions, causing normal activity to be caught by the same detection patterns. If so, EA needs to distinguish coordinated coin transfers from ordinary public-market trading more accurately.

Actual coin-selling businesses continue to operate and profit, while legitimate customers receive penalties and template appeal responses. Is this enforcement system really achieving its purpose?

If you have experienced something similar, please share only your own first-hand experience. Explain what trading you were doing, what penalty you received and the outcome of your appeal.

My account was 4 days old when I got the warning, I was just buying FUTTIES priced 12-15k to sell 21-24k. Everything from console, so I wasn't even able to relist every hour.

Now they have increased those cards min prices to 17.5k. Probably those cards were used for coin distribution, how am I supposed to know which cards coins sellers use!?

They are not able to catch people who actually distribute coins and they ban normal players, this is not ok.

Good luck with your appeal and let me know how it goes, but I did already 5 appeals and I was just ignored.

It's not ok to be afraid to use features of a game that you purchased

  • This year I have received two warnings, one was very early on in the season, for buy 10 and selling 10 for the weekly reward, and one the other day because I packed tradable players, put them up for sale and two sold for what ever reason at max amount. I have no control over what people want to spend for my players.

since that first warning the only players I buy is for challenge. And now I make sure I sell players I haven’t just brought. And I never dip into selling any good players I’ve been lucky to pack

  • Hey man, the exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I received a Balance Transfer warning, and EA wiped around 6 million coins from my club. I've never bought or sold coins or transferred anything between accounts. All I do is trade on the Transfer Market to be able to afford the players I actually want to use in my team, just like everybody else does, and that's always been allowed.

It's honestly crazy to see people openly involved in illegal coin selling saying they're fine, while players like us who spend countless hours grinding for months end up getting punished right in the middle of FUTTIES. It feels like all the time and effort I invested into this game were erased overnight.

I've already submitted an appeal asking for a manual review, but right now I'm so frustrated that I don't even feel like playing the game anymore. It's really disappointing.
