Do I lose chem applying Season 3 CAM roles upgrade on a hero card?

The season pass CAM roles upgrade gives out tikitaka base ps, I want to put my ultimate scream Park Ji Sung in the evo. It’s not a cosmetic evo yet it says the chemistry on the card will reset if I start it. 

Can anyone tell me if it will reset to a ”regular” hero card (so not actually losing the hero chem) or will it basically turn him to gold card?
