Game is essentially a mess again at launch
I'd hoped that the sounds coming out of EA would have some meaning, only to be let down again.
If you are coming to Ultimate Team, do not expect it to play remotely like the top tier football game you watch at the weekend. It'll not even play like the non-league team in your local town.
I'll summarise the issues as best possible
Game play meta - This is essentially teams walking up the pitch and then spinning around in front of your defenders, waiting for a wrong move/CB to glitch somewhere. You can defend it, but it's tedious to watch. Essentially players are using their knowledge of the video game limitations, not playing football.
Bugs bugs bugs - Corner assignments resetting on entering a match and pairing your 5'3" player against their power heading 6'4" player. Players not following instructions to attack, and just sitting back. Passing mechanics spraying the ball in random directions (i.e. back when pressing forward). Thus the most reliable way to march up the pitch is to use the game play meta.
Changes to rewards - Have another untradable pack why don't you ... Have 3 loan players you'll just chuck in the bin, because you actually want to use your team players ... Buy some packs if you want anything tradable. No thanks.
I'll even add some Clubs issues here. I've literally not aged in 4 years on Clubs (which would be nice in real life, but I'm assuming is a bug. No extra time/penalties in play off games for promotion, and golden goals in 'play offs' that literally haven't been used in about 20 years. Game play meta? See above.
This could be a good game, if EA actually tried to make it like football, and address the small issues that add up to a big mess.
Peace!
