I noticed on the app last week that some of the background graphics on some of the 'special' cards disappeared and they were appearing as gold, silver or bronze cards. I was doing an SBC at the time, and luckily, realised that a gold card I had put into a team, was actually one of my 'special' cards that I definitely did not want to submit. A quick check on the console confirmed my suspicion that the app was glitching.
I say this is what happened .. only thing I can think of as I defo would have noticed if I was submitting an icon swaps card
