TOTY: A Huge Failure

I also have video proof of Iniesta walking out of a tradeable Prime Electrum Players pack I had stacked, but it won’t let me post it because it’s too big of a file - any idea how I can get around this?

I’m not an EA employee. I’m a 34 year old father of two from the UK who works 40 hours from Monday-Thursday.

I’m currently a division 3 player, halfway to division 2.. and I usually get 9 or 10 wins in Champs, but I only play it once every 3 or 4 weeks because family commitments take over. On weekdays, I probably play 45-60 mins a day when everyone’s in bed.

I’ve been in Div 3 for ages because I don’t really play it anymore, I lack the time to progress further.

I have photographic proof of my pulls. Marcelo & TOTY Williamson were from store packs. HM Diaz, Marquinos & 92 Iniesta were all from Marquee Matchup packs I had stacked up - Iniesta was a Prime Electrum players pack.

I have spent around £110 on packs since release - but I am a new account. It’s my first ever PSN account on FC. The last time I played FUT before this was 2020 on Xbox.

Matchmaking does feel odd, I’ll give you that. But mainly the other way for me - if I have a tough game online, my next one is usually extremely easy.

The OP is a spoiled brat. The other guy who commented to defend him seems a little more there, but is still clutching at straws.

Store packs SHOULD have a higher % of a good pull than SBC packs. But I have had some absolute blinders from Marquee Matchups so far.

How do you explain that someone has been getting the worst promotion cards (if they get any) since the beginning and hasn't even gotten a TOTY player? They've just been unlucky for months? You don't take this seriously either.

okay i belive in your story that you are not copensated by EA to counter narrative(on the same logic i have to belive that bonny blue is vergin). you are an average player and you packed 2 toty tradabel and untradable total BS. you cant be lucky 5 times in a row. how many SBC you did more than others? this is pre determined to your account for sure, you are getting big cards after big cards. how much money you spent till today? you dont even get more that 7 wins and probably in 4th or lower division still you have audacity to defend stupid logic written in the game. nothing is luck when you see pack probability that means it is not a luck always. THe predetermined behaviour or EA to give good players to people who spent FC points is completely wrong, its certainly breaching some laws in the EU for sure. I have to inquire indian laws as well, but some day i will file a case agaisnt EA

Congrats on your pack pulls, but I think you missed the point of the post.

Did you pull those from store packs or grind/reward packs?

In addition, he talks about the match-making being rigged. I absolutely agree with him. It feels like those of us who don't spend money are being used as test dummies for someone's shiny, new player. I can barely muster 2 wins in a row (haven't spent money since the game's release). I'm pretty sure I have lost every game where I was matched against someone with the latest Evo "meta" player. In one game, I tackled Pina twice and she managed to win the ball back twice. Then she shot and scored.

The gameplay also feels rigged. I have experienced this myself. If I score early, it feels like my players are downgraded. They can't complete simple passe anymore, let alone maintain possession. Loose balls always seem to bounce to my opponent. It takes my player 2-3 touches to tackle and gain control of the ball. With 1 touch, my opponent can tackle and the ball is magically under his control. In some cases their tackle also serves as a perfect pass to a teammate.

I'm not expecting to pack anything. I save my fodder for guaranteed player SBCs. I'm not complaining that I failed to pack any TOTY. It seems like the game is pay to win. I once purchased 2 identical packs: 1 with FC points and 1 with coins. The one with points produced better rewards. Coincidence?

Like the OP, I don't mind losing to better players (low bar). However, it feels like EA is putting their thumb on the scale.

What are you talking about? EA Employees? I’m just a forum user like you. I’m just not a lunatic conspiracy theorist who thinks EA somehow alters individual accounts for “pack luck”.

I’m an average player. I’ve packed two TOTY cards (one tradeable, one not) and two TOTY HM cards (again.. one tradeable, one not), as well as numerous tradeable Icons. I’m not a streamer, I’m not an EA employee. I’m just an FC player like you.

I said most people aren’t lucky. But it isn’t pre determined by your account, some packs will be awesome, most of them will be awful. Most packs that most of us open aren’t worth anything. It’s the same for everyone!

EA employee should use real IDs not anonymous. most people are lucky? if not then why i see lot totys? if yes then why average player is not packing it ?

92 Iniesta, 89 Marcelo, TOTY Williamson, TOTY HM Diaz - just 4 examples of tradeable pulls I’ve had personally this version. I’m not a streamer.. some people get lucky, most don’t.

I haven’t read the rest of your post as it will likely be filled with more conspiracy theory BS.

”Streamers” spend £100k a year on fifa points. If they didn’t get a great pull every now and then, something would be wrong. Watch their weekly Rank 1 reward vids, they get screwed like most other people.
