Madden crashing on steam

Same thing for me, just have to wait for bug fix ig

When I open Madden on steam it has a black screen on fullscreen. When I validate files it says 3 files failed. I can hear audio from the game, but its just a full black screen with no visual.

Black screens and then loads the splash screen for a few seconds before completely crashing. Validate files and says 3 files aren't validated. Tried every fix i could find still not working. EA Sports I am NOT in the game.

I have been having problems where my madden games won't launch. It started with madden 25, and is now continuing with madden 26. I have tried reinstalling both launcher and game, disabling anti-virus, regedit, running as administrator, deleting all origin files, updating to windows  11and nothing works. I have tried verifying files on steam and it says failed to validate 3 and then still wont launch. Then, all of a sudden I get this gray box asking me to sign in. I sign in with my credentials and nothing happens.

same thing happening to me i hope they fix it because it says the issue is on their side 

I'm extremely frustrated with this game. I will not start and when I verify the files it keeps saying3 files fails. I have tried everything on you tube reinstalled 5 times it still does not work I need help.

Go into EA app and setting turn off the in game overlay

We appreciate you reaching out to us about the crashes you've been seeing. 

Out of curiosity, has anyone else tested what frank22201​ tried with the in-game overlay in the EA app settings? I am curious if this stops the crashes other people have been seeing as well. That may help us narrow down what might be causing it to happen. 

If you can give it a shot, please let me know what you find. Thank you!

IT WORKED OH MY GOODNESS. I HAVE SPENT 7 AND A HALF HOURS>

I've said it in another discussion that ea Barry had responded to and it worked for someone else there...I wonder if it's something with steam and the ea app talking since it seems hit or miss with people solely on the ea app. The reason I found out the solution for me was because I was having a similar issue. I do still have the problem of steam saying 3 files failed to validate but it launches and plays without crashing. The 3 files failing to validate probably explains the bug I have tho.
