[PC] ME 2 LE version mouse not disappearing while playing.

Hey guys!

This is the first time I’m actually playing the series (finished ME 1 yesterday, and sheeesh, what a game!).

Anyway, I just started playing ME 2 on LE version, and there is a glitch with my mouse cursor. Basically, when I’m playing it, the cursor just moves around when I move the camera, and it won’t disappear. It stays moving around when I move the camera and it affects the immersion of the game.

Some things that might be important:

  • I play through XBOX Game Pass Ultimate (which includes an EA Play membership).
  • I started the game with my Shepard from ME 1.
  • I have an XBOX One controller, but I don’t play with it. I did disconnect it before playing, but no luck.
  • It doesn’t matter if I change the game resolution or switching between fullscreen, borderless fullscreen or windowed mode.
  • Alt-tabbing doesn't work.

What I did till now:

  • Verified game files in the EA App. Didn't find any error.

I do know that mouse issues are common in this game, since I have found a lot of topics of some random mouse glitches the OT version (not only here in the EA Forums, but many others websites).

Can someone help me? I sent a video in the attachments so you can see what I'm talking about (sorry for the quality, I recorded with my phone), and the Dxdiag.

Reinstalling didn't help, but the clean boot did.

Now how do I know what program might be causing that? Do I need to enable one by one + restarting every single time and testing the game? That would take a lot of time.

Could you point some programs that could cause that interference? My guess is Overwolf (for TS3), since it has its own in-game overlay.

    I over-read that part, sorry.

If the fresh install still doesn't work, try a clean boot:
A clean boot is a process that starts Windows with a minimal set of services and startup programs. This can help eliminate or find software conflicts.

How to perform the clean boot:

    • Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    • Type “msconfig” (Without the quotes.) > Enter.
    • In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab.
    • Check the box that says, “Hide all Microsoft services”.
    • Click Disable all. (Make sure the EABackgroundService remains enabled.)
    • Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
    • In the Task Manager, disable all startup items that are activated.
    • Close Task Manager and go back to the System Configuration window, then click OK.
    • Restart the computer, the PC will start into clean boot mode.
    • Test the Game.

    Nothing changes, as I said

No mouse pointer trail enable, and the input devices connected are keyboard (I disconnected, but no luck), mouse, joystick and headset.

I will try uninstalling the game and try again. But I think that won't help.

What happens if you play in fullscreen/borderless/windowed?

Do you have Mouse Pointer Trails enabled, if so disable it.
Do you a have other input devices connected?

Als try to disconnect your keyboard in game and see it that make the pointer disappear.
