I had little to no problems when MEL was released.
I was able to have little problems by starting ME 1/2/3 using a shortcut pointing the the exe-file of all 3 versions
example: D:\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\Binaries\Win64\masseffect1.exe
This used to work and today i wanted to start me1 with the shortcut and it just opened the origin launcher on the MEL page.
i did try most of the work-arounds in this thread but non seem to work.
I could use some assistance into pointing me into the right direction.
No hardware changes, all drivers are up to date, game(s) is up tot date, ....
What happens if you start the game from Origin?
same, just reopens the origin launcher on the game library page
all lead to the same result,
every other game in my library works just fine
Try to repair the game.
(Origin > Game Library > right click MELE > Repair)
(Steam > Game Library > right click at MELE > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)
I did try all that, even deleteing the launcher map then repair and update, result stayed the same.
Ive been thining that i am missing a step.
Seems that when origin autostarts with windows and i try to start MELE it doesnt make the ME LE game select window
BUT if i start the ME launcher shortcut, that makes me load origin and login, i loads upto the ME LE game select window and i can start all games.
Which is weird, but seems to be a extra step
