Even after recent update still crashes in 3rd when winning.

At some point will EA ever take ownership of this problem with BAP?

I think that the BAP doesn't bring in any more money then the original price we paid to play the game so they really don't care.  It is an issue for years yet all they do is pump out new add-ons for people to spend money.  A class action lawsuit should start to hold them accountable for releasing a game(s) that are not finished and not maintained.  Every other product in the world would have gotten legal action taken if it were sold like this, why not software?

Let me hear just one EA employee apologize or even acknowledge that they are not skilled enough to fix the problem and I would be satisfied.  Instead crickets!

Guess what?  I will never spend another dollar on an EA product, so the joke is on you!

  • Troubleshooting Steps for NHL 26 Crashing (PS5)

If your game continues to crash despite basic reinstallations, follow these technical steps to ensure the issue isn't related to the console’s system files:

    1. Clear Cache and Rebuild Database (Safe Mode)

This is the most effective way to fix system-level corruption that a simple reinstall won't touch.

    Power down your PS5 completely.

Hold the power button until you hear a second beep (about 7 seconds).

Connect your controller via USB cable and press the PS button.

Select "Clear Cache and Rebuild Database".

Run "Clear System Software Cache" first, then repeat the process and select "Rebuild Database".

    2. Check for Corrupted Save Data

Sometimes the crash is caused by a corrupted save file rather than the game itself.

Back up your save data to the PlayStation Plus Cloud.

Delete the local save data for NHL 26 from your console storage.

Launch the game to see if it runs properly without the old save files.

    3. Perform a "Clean" Reinstallation

    Uninstall the game.

Log out of your PSN account.

Unplug the power cord for 60 seconds to clear the temporary hardware cache.

Plug it back in, log in, and reinstall the game. Important: Let all updates download fully before launching the game.

    4. Provide Specific Details in Crash Reports

Even if it feels like the reports aren't read, adding specific info helps developers categorize the bug.

When the PS5 crash report screen appears, include a short note like: "Crashed specifically when navigating the HUT menu" or "Crashed during the post-game cutscene."

    5. Monitor for Official Patches

If these steps do not resolve the issue, the problem likely lies within the game's code. In this case, we must wait for a "Title Update" or "Hotfix" from the developers.
