Player with puck just glide

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It occurs to me when I am playing a game (any mode) and my player gets passed the puck or is skating with the puck. Suddenly, the player stops skating and just glides.
What happens when the bug occurs? The player that you are controlling stops skating, or can not skate. I am using the left stick to skate forward and even pressing the stick to power skate, but it does not work - the player just glides. This is extremely frustrating and has happened in every game I have played so far.
What do you expect to see? I expect the player to skate when I tell him to.
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Offline
Insert Game Mode or Feature here This has happened to me in multiple game modes - play now, franchise mode, be a pro... I think it would happen in every mode (online or offline)

This is a very weird, yet extremely frustrating bug. I will try to explain it as best as I can and include a video in a reply showing this happen. (I could not include the video in the post because the first time I tried it would not post - and my draft got deleted so I had to re-type this report)

For example - my player receives a pass along the boards. When he receives the pass he is in a wide stance and gliding - not skating. With my controller I am skating forward, but my player is not. I have experienced something like this in every game I have played so far, but it does not happen every time I am passed the puck.

This bug is making the game unplayable for me. It ruins the flow of play and I miss so many opportunities. My player in Be A Pro even got injured because of this bug.

I do not believe this is a controller issue because I was just playing NHL 20 last week and never had this issue before. I also tried switching controllers and it still happened. I also tried to hard reset my Xbox and quit the game and the bug is still happening.

Please if anyone knows how to fix this or is also experiencing this issue let me know. I can not continue to play this game while this is occurring multiple times every game.

This is an issue we've heard of happening before. It's a pretty rare one and we haven't been able to reproduce it. What system are you on?

For videos, it's best to put it up on a service like YouTube and then provide a link or embed it in your post.

I´ve had the exact same problem but with PS4. Actually this problem surfaced with NHL 20 and is still present in NHL 21. Extremely frustrating!!

Can you check to see if there's an update available for your controller? Do you also have another controller you can try? Is it an Elite or regular Xbox controller?
