Hi thanks for the help but none of the options that you have listed has not helped me resolve this issue. Is there anymore things I can try to do for
Directx function "GetDeviceRemovedReason* failed with DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG (The GPU will not respond to more commands"), GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti*, Driver:
This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.I got the same error. I think this is an error caused by latest drivers. Same Graphic card (1080ti). At the moment the game is sunplayable.
Guys, Hopefully it will help you. I solved this issue on mine PC. AMD RX5700
I have made some changes in tuning controll in GPU software provided by AMD. The changes were made only for Battlefield game. I didn't changed the global settings.
Please see mine attached screenshots from AMD software.
As you can see, I've changed the Max frequancy percentage to lowest and my power limit to - 5 ( minus 5 )
After tese changes no issues at all with Battlefield 2042.
Also, if yo are having the same issue with another games, it works as well.

I'm getting the same error message on Battlefield 2042, started happening about a week ago.
Hello, I am having the same problem. I have reinstalled the game, Windows 11 and the latest NVIDIA drivers but I still have the same problem. Did you solve it? Thanks.
In settings set up the update refresh rate of 60
The problem is solved
OK, HERE IS THE SOLUTION WHICH SOLVED BOTH ISSUES FOR MY SYSTEM ("getdeviceremovedreason" and no error crash using the EA App) I had with my brand-new PC I built within the last few days.
Here is my Build, BIOS and GPU Drivers with the most recent updates.
Windows 11 Education 64-Bit
MSI Z790 Tomahawk DDR4
Intel i7-13700K 3.4Ghz
Kingston Fury Beast 3600 MHZ (32GB *4 )128GB DDR4 (which is in the QVL List)
SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen 4 Gaming (*2)
Thermaltake ToughPower 1000W
As you can see, excellent, recent and solid components, no reason to have any issues whatsoever. As mentioned, I got both DirectX error messages "getdeviceremovedreason," which would crash the game to desktop, and the regular crash to desktop with no error whatsoever. It would happen to all games played through the EA App, which led me to believe it was an issue with the App, but it was not. And once it completely crashed my system and restarted it (which was concerning since it was brand new). When the crash rebooted my PC, the red light on my MSI motherboard remained on conspicuously long; upon review, that was the DRAM light, which would indicate something was wrong with the memory.
I went in the BIOS and realized the XMP Profile for both channels was on. I made sure it was off and went into the settings to make sure it said XMP: Disabled. I rebooted the PC and it has not happened in 2 days now.
TL;DR
DISABLE any XMP utility or anything that would modify the memory settings/speed of your RAM. The EA App does not handle it correctly and crashes the App to the desktop without justification.
Hope this fixes the issue for a lot of people cause it was so frustrating building a brand-new pc and being able to game for a max of 10-15 minutes before the game crashes for no logical reason.
Hey man, I also have a newly built beast of a pc but have been having the same issues, the bios settings on default had the expo setting turned off which boosts the memory frequency, I have tried alot of stuff but have still been having the same issue, mind helping me out?
I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH RTX 3060

Hi, everyone.
There are a lot of factors that could come into play here on what can be done to fix this. One solution might help X amount of PC users out but not all, so an error like this may require some extra steps for others.
If you're experiencing this error it can be helpful to include a DxDiag to see what your system specifications are. It's important to verify the PC is meeting the minimum system requirements for the game, the graphics card drivers are updated, Windows is up to date, and we can verify under the Windows Error Reporting section what errors could be conflicting with the game or Windows that need to be addressed.
Here is how to pull a DxDiag report. Please include your report as an attachment:

Thank you so much, I feared it could’ve been a bad part that had to be replaced, this fixed the issue for all BF titles I tried to play. The only downside is that ram now runs at about 2400mhz, will attempt to bump it to 2666mhz and see how it goes.
This may be true. I've try to change the refresh rate in FC24 and then the game crashed. Now I can't even start up the game anymore to change it back.
I've also tried re-installing the game, but it still gives this same error. To bad you can't restore default settings in FC24...
what to do, what to do!?i have the exact same problem where i changed the refresh rate and now i cant even get in the menus to change the setting if you have been able to solbe it please tell me how if you havent solved then can someone helps us
