PC performance info gathering thread.

As far as I can tell there are two sides to the performance issues:

Client side:

What most people are experiencing are constant frame drops with seemingly no cause. Personally, I experience frame drops in singleplayer and multiplayer. Singleplayer runs better than multiplayer. Multiplayer is borderline unplayable sometimes. I have tried all the ingame settings from low to ultra and nothing seemed to have an impact. I use Rivatuner to give me detailed hardware readouts and what I see is that the framerate drops occur even though my hardware workload barely exceeds 80%. (Which is still quite high for my system). 

Server side:

What makes multiplayer so hard to enjoy is the lag originating from the server. Throughout all multiplayer matches I experienced a constant stuttering coming from the server. I assume that this is indeed coming from the servers since it affects the usage of abilites. Using Space Cadet's Gravity smash will cause you to  seemingly teleport through the air. When playing in singleplayer this ability works very smoothly. Same goes for Hyper Pea and Super Hero's jump. Hit detection is also a massive flaw. Hit's don't conncect on regular basis. The lag is also noticeable when sprinting for example, where the whole game just slows down without impacting the framerate. It also happens very often that you shoot enemies that already show an empty healthbar, but they still take damage and die a few seconds after that. I can garantie that these issues do not originate from my side.

I really hope I could help. Please give us detailed patch notes in the next 6 weeks telling us specifically which problems you tried to fix so we can give even better feedback to you should these problems continue existing or should new issues arise. Thanks!

What precisely happens for you?

-Lags, fps drops, camera stutter, very high CPU usage, extreme blurry image, no matter what you change in options (have a look at the photos, even disabling that blur Anti Aliasing in config file changed nothing

-Field of view is also too high.

please give us the option to disable that Antialiasing ingame to get rid of this awful blurry image and an FOV slider (or revert it back to the garden warfare 2 FOV))

Where do you see this issue? If it only occurs in certain modes or regions, please list them.

-Everwhere, in the hub and also while playing the gamemode. Everywhere, when you make a fast camera movement.

If you monitor your PC performance, what do you see for CPU and GPU usage?

-extreme high CPU usage with peaks up to 100%.

If you go to the World Options (the globe at the exit to your hub), does swapping the world to Private or Private with AI change anything?

-didn´t changed anything for me.

If you restart with a Clean Boot and just launch the game, does that have any effect?

-no

If any graphics/options tweaks had an impact for you.

-no, no matter which options you choose, even on lowest settings

Please add any other info you may find relevant. 

-please fix it, in this state it is unplayable. Main reasons cpu issues and blur everywhere.

I agree with the issues.

I having some specs similar to you, and i have the same issues. The thing is, already from when i open the game, and I am in the place where i can click start game, already there my processor heats up till like 70%.

the stutters, Frame drops and the other stuff makes its impossible to feeling smooth when I playing. 

What precisely happens for you?

Lag spikes every 3 seconds, fps drops, camera feels weird when you make a fast mouse movment. Changed the graphic settings to low but nothing happend, still the same lags.

Where do you see this issue? If it only occurs in certain modes or regions, please list them.

The lag spikes appears in Multiplayer battles and in the hub when other people are around. Game runs better in offline season. Camera feels in every mod weird.

Cpu usage a peak off 90 - 100 %.

Gpu goes up to 70 % and then 0 % in few seconds. This couse the game to lag i guess.

Restarting my pc doesnt help with the problems.

Edit: What i noticed is when i play the game windowed, 60 fps locked and vsync on, the game runs very smooth, no lag spikes at all and the weird camera bug goes away. Gpu usage is constant 70 %

• I have stuttering issue , like frame drop that cause me stutter you know this little freeze for 0.1 sec , its when i move around sometimes , and i can do it on commands when i start to shoot sometimes it cause me a micro freeze , or when i use a skill , go see my attached screen .

ive gone in private hub , this doesnt not change anything .

Did a clean boot doesnt have any effect , set everything to low settings , doesnt do anything , i tried all that youve said nothing change .

In my screen of my monitoring software , i just started to shoot , the first bullet did what you can see that i have circle on the screen and caused me to have a micro freeze

• Lags Spikes in World then the Lobby is Full or Close to Full
• Lags Spikes in Multiplayer when the Lobby is Full or Close to Full, Wenn both Teams (12 vs 12) are very Close its a Disaster. Even when All Graphics are on Low and Resolution is on Low
• My Ping is 14 (EU/Germany) So that should be no problem its not on my End i think i dont know. i Tried via Cable too that woulnd´t fix it
• Thats for the Work Hoping a Hotfix or Patch comes soon to PC Players Good Job on the Game tho <3 :eahigh_file: 

I am having so much trouble in the game, the frame rates drop to zero constantly which makes the game almost unplayable.  I do notice that it is slightly better in PvE, but when I'm in PVP the game is unplayable.  I am also having extreme audio issues constantly where sometimes the music and effects audio will play but cut in and out with static or the music and effects audio will just play for about three seconds then stop for about three and then start again from the beginning over and over again, which makes me want to poke out my ears.  And the last major issue I am having is that all PvE enemies have way too much health were I end up getting vanquished ten times before defeating them

I hope this information helps. I really hope you guys fix the game soon because at the moment, for a lot of us, the game we love is unplayable.

Hi David,

When I play I get fps stutters and freezers approx. every 3-5 seconds sometimes they can be constant and cause the game to be unplayable. I notice the issue primarily playing on Turf Takeover however it also happens in the carnival area. Im running everything on Low settings, Vsync on and a 60 FPS lock, which is the best way I could get it to play, despite this the game runs awfully. 

I tried restarting World options to private without AI yet this didn't give me any benefit as the lag continued.

I have tried restarting with Clean Boot but this didn't make any difference to performance the stutters and continuous lag spikes were still there.

Moreover, I can say that the lag spikes are occurring more often in combat than in the Hub world but they occur in both.

The most notable in my case are huge fps drops. For that reason I can not play in high or ultra quality when I should.

Where do you see this issue? If it only occurs in certain modes or regions, please list them.

It can happen at any time but especially when many people join in a small space.

The game occupies about 70% of the cpu and the gpu approximately the same or less, what happens in the game.
