Farm Merge items merging

I use the Edge browser and recently in Farm Merge if I hover over two or more of a kind without releasing my left mouse the item will merge without me doing anything.  That can ruin a strategy.  Any clues why this may be happening?  I have cleared my history and cache, and it didn't help.

Hello! Sorry to hear strategy is being foiled by unexpected merges. I know that merging five items together is optimal in this game.

Excellent instinct on clearing your history and cache when you observe a problem!

Along with clearing our cookies, cache and built-up files on our devices, other important things to look for anytime we see something acting a bit odd is browser and device updates, which both update every 2-4 weeks and require a bit of attention. Pogo is a browser-based gaming site so these are huge to watch out for.

Recently Microsoft released Edge Stable version 148.0.3967.83 on May 21, 2026, which is within the past week. Additional Edge updates (security fixes and platform updates) were also released between May 19–26, 2026, depending on device and region. These updates included bug fixes, security patches, and feature changes, which all can affect how browser‑based games behave.

If you are a Windows User:

    • May 26, 2026: KB5089573 (Windows 11 24H2 & 25H2) This cumulative update includes quality improvements, AI component updates, and a servicing stack update.
    • May 26, 2026: Multiple Windows 11 cumulative update previews. These include updates for versions 24H2, 25H2, and 26H1 across x64 and ARM systems.
    • Patch Tuesday (May 12–13, 2026) Microsoft released major security updates fixing 130+ vulnerabilities, including 17 critical ones, these shipped as KB5089549 and KB5087544.

Another common issue is the mouse itself 😄 A worn or sensitive left mouse button can register a click even when you’re only holding it down. A typical everyday mouse has a lifespan of 1–3 years, Mid‑range 3–5 years and High‑end mice with optical switches 5–10 years.

My best advice is to check for any browser and device updates, it’s best practice to clean our devices after any updates so those changes can take full effect in a fresh, stable environment.

When you can, try placing like items slowly next to one another when you’re not ready to merge them. This gives the game and our devices a moment to register movement correctly and helps prevent any unintended merges while you’re planning your next move!

Hope this helps and Happy Merging 🌽🤠
