Pogo Friendly Reminder: Tips for Posting & Common Questions

Hello! Whether you're a newcomer to the forums or a seasoned visitor, here are a few helpful reminders to make your experience smoother and ensure your voice is heard!

Many players arrive at forums with certain expectations or confusion about how everything works, which can occasionally result in additional confusion and frustration. This platform serves as a space for reporting issues, exchanging information, and supporting one another as a community.

When reporting an issue, please include your device details:

  • Pogo username
  • Device Type (PC, Laptop, Phone, Tablet)
  • OS version (Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, iOS, Android)
  • Browsers Tested (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
  • Any error messages or screenshots

Pogo games run on many different combinations of computers, browsers, operating systems, settings, and even small differences between them can affect how a game behaves.

Frequently Asked Questions

"I can't find my post, they deleted it!" When multiple posts are made about the same topic, they are merged into the main thread of that topic to keep the boards organized and collect reports. To view all of your comments, click on your profile image in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select Profile, from there you can access all of your posted comments. Please also read the code of conduct for EA Pogo Forums here → EA Forums Rules & Guidelines | EA Forums

"I want a refund if I can't play a game!" For privacy and security, any concerns with monetary transactions, gems, missing content and other account-specific matters cannot be handled in forum communities or social media messages. Contact EA Help through the secure portal so your account can be reviewed privately → Pogo – Official EA Help support

"How hard could it be for someone to post when it's expected to be fixed?" Waiting for a resolution, especially when a game you love isn't working, is understandably frustrating. The challenge is that specific dates or timelines for resolution generally aren’t publicly provided. This is standard across the tech and gaming industries because resolving issues often involves several teams and developers, unpredictable technical variables, and extensive testing across many devices and platforms.

In accordance with the User Agreement, available on the Official EA Site User Agreement  there is no guarantee that any EA Service will be available at all times, in all locations, or on all devices, and updates or modifications may be required from time to time (Section 4).  That said, your reports help ensure issues continue moving forward. Please keep submitting them through official channels and watch for status updates as they become available.

"Who is responding here, why can't EA or Tech Support email or call me?" Posts are constantly being read and emerging issues, trends, bug reports, and feedback are being reported back to the team. They may not post on everything, however all posts are being read. More information on how this forums community works can be found here → What EA staff here can help with | EA Forums

Watch for announcements on a variety of topics here in EA Pogo Forums and also:

"I contacted EA Help and they closed my case without fixing my game." When EA Help closes a case, it means your information has been documented and forwarded to the appropriate team. A closed case does not mean your report has been ignored or that you have been forgotten, it means the issue has been documented as part of the broader investigation.

Each report can provide useful details, such as affected platforms, error messages, timing, and account or gameplay circumstances. The more relevant reports the team receives, the more information they have to identify patterns and work toward a resolution. Keep reporting (with device details)!

“Everyone has an issue, just read the comments.” It really can look that way, but forums don’t always represent the entire Pogo community. Most players post when something isn’t working or when they need help. Players rarely post messages like “everything worked great today,” “got all my badges,” or “I finally won against Lucy today!” Because the forums are mainly used for seeking help, it can absolutely create the impression that every player is experiencing issues, even when many may not. The forums show who needs help, not always how the game or website is performing for everyone.

"I'm so frustrated, what else can I do?" Your frustration is valid, and it is completely understandable to feel that way when something you enjoy isn't working the way it should. The technology behind these games responds to data, not emotions. A post that says, "fix it now!" says you're upset, but a post that includes your device type, browser, operating system, error messages, and what occurred gives something very detailed to work with. The most powerful thing you can do for yourself, and fellow players is turn that frustration into a detailed report. And please remember, you’re not alone here. We’re all working together to make things better, one step at a time.

“Why do some players have issues and others don’t?” Each individual game can exhibit varying behaviors based on the device, operating system, browser, and individual settings utilized by each player. Even minor variations, such as a browser update, the presence of adblockers, a graphics driver, or differences in regional networks, can influence the loading and performance of a game. This is why one player may experience an issue while another does not. Providing details about your device aids in recognizing patterns and determining which configurations are impacted.

“Why do updates change how games behave?” Updates often include changes that are required to keep a game compatible with modern browsers, operating systems and devices. When Chrome, Edge, Firefox, iOS, Android, Windows, or macOS release updates, the way they handle graphics, memory, security, or web features can change. Sometimes these adjustments affect how a game loads, how it performs, or even how certain visual elements appear. Updates and Cleaning are imperative and often quickly resolve issues such as loading, graphical issues, challenges not tracking and more! However, if you still experience an issue after troubleshooting, please report it (with device details).

"Why does it say Newcomer or Seasoned Newcomer next to my name, I have been on Pogo for many, many years?" The titles next to your username here in EA Forums (Newcomer, Rising Novice, Seasoned Rookie, etc.) reflect your activity level in the EA Pogo Forums community only, it does not reflect membership or longevity as a member of the Pogo community.

Fun Fact: Here in EA Pogo Forums you can change your username and picture, just visit your profile on EA Help (don't worry it will not affect your Pogo username or Pogo picture, however other account changes will!)
